The NFPA's 2012 Electrical Safety Standard
Like the National Electrical Code, the National Fire Protection Association Standard 70E, "Electrical Safety in the Workplace," undergoes periodic revision (currently every three years).
Among the persistent questions about NFPA 70E: Are its provisions legally enforceable? Have those provisions been adopted by OSHA?
In the Standard's latest edition, Articles 110 (general electrical safety work practice requirements) and 130 (work involving electrical hazards) underwent the most extensive changes. Many sections were renumbered or relocated.
