Five Year Plan

A benchmark for industrial safety programs

ISN, the Dallas provider of contractor and supplier information management services, announced the five-year milestone of its partnership with Hood Industries, a wood products manufacturer and distributor. Since implementing "ISNetworld" in 2020, Hood Industries has used that feature to enhance its contractor evaluation and selection process, reduce on-site incidents, and drive operational efficiency across its facilities.

“Hood Industries encouraged our contractors to enroll in ISN’s RAVS 360 this year to evaluate safety process maturity and culture,” said Sam Newbill, Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety at Hood Industries. “We observed contractor interviews throughout the review process, and it was great to see, firsthand, our contractors demonstrating their commitments to safety on the job. The interviews also provide valuable safety insights for our team and highlight how important RAVS 360 is in helping reinforce Hood Industries’ contractor standards.”

Headquartered in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Hood Industries produces plywood and lumber, operating five mill locations across the United States. Hood Industries leverages ISNetworld tools and services such as Online Training to deliver site orientations and SubTracker to manage subcontractor information and increase visibility into cascading compliance throughout the supply chain. The company also completed CultureSight to capture feedback from employees and contractors regarding Hood Industries’ safety culture and help understand the perceptions of safety across its operations.

“Over the past five years, Hood Industries has expanded its use of ISNetworld and demonstrated measurable improvements in contractor management and safety performance,” said Mike Reazin, Vice President of Manufacturing at ISN. “This partnership highlights how a consistent, data-driven approach can help strengthen contractor oversight. ISN is proud to continue supporting Hood Industries and provide a scalable contractor management program.”
