Tariffs Affecting Motors?

Distributors are informing customers of price increases from some major manufacturers

Motor and drive distributor ESR made a noteworthy announcement via the company website this week, explaining that some of its suppliers will be adjusting prices in the near future. For EA readers, it's highly relevant, as some of those suppliers involved are longtime, relied-upon manufacturers.

"Attention: Due to tariffs and rising material costs, several of our suppliers will be adjusting their prices in the coming weeks." This includes a "price increase effective November 24, 2025...and a separate "price increase on low-voltage motors, modifications, and accessories effective December 5, 2025," according to the header at the top of the ESR website.

We will provide more information on this development as soon as we are able to obtain it and/or clarify details from the parties involved.
