A New Chapter

Comtec joins Midwest in major news for industrial control solutions

Comtec Inc., a trusted name in manufacturing and design solutions for over 50 years, is now part of the Midwest Integration and Automation family. This strategic acquisition "marks a powerful step forward in delivering a robust team that is more scalable, and future-ready to provide industrial technologies to customers," Midwest said in a press release.

Comtec added that the move expands its own capabilities. With Midwest's resources and industry-driven portfolio, the company expects to be enhancing its own product portfolio to include supporting the energy-driven industrial controls industry and the data server infrastructure industry.

Location is also a factor here. Comtec resides in Twinsburg, in the heart of the northeast Ohio manufacturing and OEM market. Midwest’s investment into this location allows the local customer base to take advantage of the panel shop “in their backyard”

Comtec stressed that it will continue to manufacture and support its core customers that have driven the business for many years. "Our commitment to quality, reliability, and customer support remains unchanged," the company noted. "You’ll continue working with the same expert team you know and trust."

Lastly, the two companies expect "accelerated solutions" together. Midwest and Comtec are combining resources to help enhance the design build process, the press release said.

“This acquisition is more than a business transaction—it’s a shared vision for the future of industrial automation. We’re thrilled to welcome Comtec Inc. into our ecosystem and look forward to delivering even greater value to our customers," said Bruce Hayes, CEO of Midwest Integration and Automation.
