Automation meets its match
Rockwell, Augury bring AI deeper into industrial maintenance
Rockwell Automation and industrial AI company Augury have formed a strategic technology and go-to-market partnership aimed at helping manufacturers identify equipment problems and translate those findings into maintenance action.
The companies plan to combine Augury’s Industrial AI Workforce with Rockwell Automation technologies including its Fiix computerized maintenance management system and FactoryTalk Optix visualization platform. The goal is to create a connected reliability workflow that can move from early detection and diagnosis of equipment problems through maintenance planning, execution and continuous improvement.
The partnership addresses a persistent problem for manufacturers: collecting large quantities of equipment and production data without effectively using it. Rockwell says its 2026 State of Smart Manufacturing Report found that manufacturers effectively use only 43% of the data they collect.
For maintenance and reliability operations, the collaboration represents another step toward using AI not simply to detect developing machine problems, but to help determine and coordinate the maintenance actions that follow.
