WEG announces solar park collaboration


WEG, a generator and distributor of renewable energy equipment, released a statement to the market informing about the supply agreement with Kroma Energy for the construction of the Arapuá photovoltaic solar energy generation complex in its home country of Brazil.


The project will have an installed capacity of 250 MWp and an estimated annual production of 537 GWh. The project is located in the Jaguaribe Valley, in the municipality of Jaguaruana, in the state of Ceará, Brazil.



WEG will reportedly provide its services in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) format. The company will supply photovoltaic modules, trackers, inverters, power substations and connection bays to the local utility company. The multinational company will also provide engineering and complete electromechanical assembly. Commercial operations are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
