Worldwide Electric introduces a new variable frequency drive
Worldwide Electric Corp. announced the WorldDrive WDN750E (N750E) Variable Frequency Drive—a sleek new product it calls "the next-generation update to [its] premium VFD offering, designed to maintain the capabilities you rely on while delivering a technology refresh and key usability upgrades," according to a press release e-mailed to Electrical Apparatus January 28.
Worldwide says this VFD is "ideal for fans, blowers, pumps, conveyors, production machines, rock crushers, mixers, grinders—standalone or integrated into factory automation."

The WDN750E delivers sensorless vector, constant torque, and variable torque control with a wide feature set for industrial equipment, including the following specs:
0.5–500 HP offering (with expanded 460V offering noted in training)
Output frequency: 0.01–400 Hz
Overload capability: CT 150% for 60 sec; VT 120% for 60 sec
Communications: Built-in MODBUS (RJ45 9600; RXP-RXN 2400–38400), with optional networks including EtherNet/IP, MODBUS TCP/IP, PROFIBUS-DP, and more
