Trevor Noah headlines renewable energy conference in Phoenix this month

American Clean Power, the country's top renewable energy association, holds its annual conference and expo later this month in Phoenix (May 19-22). The full lineup of speakers has now been completed, and it includes some heavyweights both inside and out of the renewa-sphere, such as comedian and "Daily Show" host Trevor Noah.

Noah will close out the show as the guest speaker of the closing general session on Thursday the 22nd. While his relationship to the industry is tangential, the preceding lineup contains plenty of policymakers and directly related names, as well as other exciting newcomers:

-Arkansas governor Katie Hobbs

-Laura Beene, President, Vestas North America

-Chief executive of renewables company Engie North America, David Carroll

-Jason Grumet, ACP's CEO, an annual presence since his appointment as head of the association

-Retired U.S. Air Force General Chuck Wald

-Chris Womack, Chairman, President, & CEO of Southern Company, a major U.S. electrical utility

-Entertainment Tonight co-host Nischelle Turner

-John Hensley, SVP, Markets and Policy Analysis, ACP
