A webinar on how to use EASA's new AI assistant is set for next week,10/1
EASA members: Ed's up!
Next Wednesday (10/1) is a date worth marking on the calendar, because the association is hosting a free webinar for its members on how to optimize its new AI assistant, Eddy. It'll take place at 11:00 AM Eastern time (12 Central).

Those of you who attended this year's convention in Nashville may recall an "Eddy sighting" when the virtual pal made its debut. Next week's webinar will be hosted by Craig Whitworth, EASA Product Development Specialist and Mike Howell, PE, EASA Technical Support Specialist. The online event will focus on how to unlock the full potential of EASA’s AI-powered knowledge assistant. "Knowing how to interact with Eddy can dramatically improve your results with technical questions, troubleshooting and documentation resources. Eddy integrates answers from EASA-only resources," EASA says, and it figures to be a highly useful viewing for those of us who aren't particularly tech-savvy.
This session will guide you through the fundamentals of prompt engineering—crafting clear, specific, and context-rich questions to receive the most accurate and actionable responses.
Craig and Mike will explore real-world examples of both poor and effective prompts, demonstrating how the right approach can transform your experience with AI. They'll also teach best practices such as providing detailed context, using structured formats, and iterating your queries for improved results.
The webinar will also address the limitations and risks of AI-generated content, emphasizing the importance of user responsibility and validation. Whether you’re seeking technical solutions, generating documentation, or clarifying complex concepts, this webinar aims to equip you with the skills to maximize the value of EASA’s AI assistant in your daily operations.
