EASA webinar will summarize Electrical Repair Technician program

EASA's ERT Certificate Program: An Overview will take place Wednesday, July 31 at 12 PM CT. The session, presented by EASA Technical Support Specialist Mike Howell, PE, includes a 30-minute presentation followed by Q&A.

At last month's EASA convention, Linda Raynes mentioned in her closing remarks how important it is for members to engage in the association's outreach and programs. She touched on the latest of these: EASA's new ERT Certificate Program for electrical repair technicians. Jane Siebert was the first to complete the program earlier this year.

NOTE: A July 23 email incorrectly stated that the ERT Program webinar would take place on the following day, July 24. EASA has confirmed a correction that the webinar is scheduled for the 31st. Please register for this important webinar below.

The Electromechanical Repair Technician (ERT) Certificate Program provides new, existing and potential employees in the electromechanical repair industry a structured learning path to become a well-rounded service center technician. The earned certificate will provide the student with a tangible and verifiable way to demonstrate to others that they have the necessary mechanical repair foundation to play a productive role in the service center.

Topics covered in this webinar include:

  • What the ERT certificate program is

  • What is required to earn the ERT certificate

  • A typical pathway for completion
