Richard L. Nailen, an Industry Legend

EA is sad to report that one of our best writers has died

To our great sadness, we have learned from his family that Richard L. Nailen died July 28.

For those who are regular readers of Electrical Apparatus, truly from any period over the last four decades, Dick was the anchor of our publication. His technical articles reflected a no-frills approach borne from a lifetime of engineering experience in the industry.

He will be sorely missed by the entire EA staff, but his passing will leave a void in the electromechanical industry as a whole. Dick was a legend for his work, but more importantly, he was a wonderful person.

We shall share details of the upcoming memorial service when they are available and will have a tribute to his extraordinary life in the September Electrical Apparatus.

Rest in Peace, RLN. We will miss you more than words can measure, and we will always remember to "Say It Right".
