Toronto distributor releases new product line

Electromate, the Toronto distributor of industrial automation products, is proud to announce the addition of Quantum Devices' latest innovation, the QM22 series of optical incremental encoders, to its comprehensive portfolio.

Offering a uniquely compact, yet robust solution for high-performance motion control and feedback applications, the QM22 miniature encoder builds on Quantum Devices' established reputation for engineering excellence and innovative design.

The QM22 encoder series has been meticulously engineered to deliver unparalleled performance in a package approximately the size of a US quarter. It features an impressive 22mm diameter, providing a space-efficient, high-resolution solution that meets the demanding requirements of modern applications in robotics, automation, and more.

"Quantum Devices' QM22 miniature encoder embodies the ideal blend of compact design and superior performance," said Warren Osak, founder and CEO of Electromate. "Its arrival adds another cutting-edge product to our offering that aligns perfectly with our mission - to provide high-quality automation components that improve the efficiency, safety, and productivity of our customer’s operations."

Key features of the QM22 series encoder include:

  • Size: Despite its compact size, the QM22 optical incremental encoder doesn't compromise on performance. Its small form factor enables integration into tight spaces in a wide array of applications, including but not limited to, robotic arms, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and medical equipment.

  • Resolution: The QM22 encoder series offers resolutions up to 2,048 cycles per revolution (CPR) or 8,192 counts per revolution when used with a x4 count quadrature decoder, making it ideal for high-precision tasks.

  • Durability: Designed for robust performance, the QM22 encoder is built with a fully encapsulated rugged housing that ensures optimal operation even in challenging industrial environments.
