CAMI's newest test interface board for customized connectors

CAMI Research Inc., the Acton, Mass., manufacturer of the familiar CableEye automation-ready cable and harness test system, has released the CB61 test interface board that can be customized with 1mm pitch SMT connectors such as the SD50 Hirose family, according to a September 23 press release e-mailed to EA.

The product is rated to 500 Vdc/Vac, and CAMI noted that connectors are not included.

A leader in the development of PC-based cable and wire harness test systems, CAMI offers the "CableEye" suite of products complete with accessories – including auto-detected, plug-in connector boards for fast, convenient set-up and testing of standard cables.

CAMI Research produces expandable and upgradable diagnostic cable & harness test systems for assembly, prototyping, production, and QC of standard or custom cables. CableEye testers display and document electrical properties such as continuity, resistance, capacitance, dielectric breakdown, insulation resistance, miswires, and intermittent defects.

CableEye software allows customers to meet the most exacting reporting requirements of government-contracted and ISO 9000-style certified companies.

Connector boards are included in the standard, renewable one-year warranty of the CableEye tester for which it was purchased. Available immediately, the CB61 (Item 791) requires software B1954 or later to enable auto-ID; software updates and upgrades are complimentary for testers under a Product Support Subscription (PSS).
